Inês Osório (Porto,1984) artist and designer, living in Porto and Brussels.
Active practice as sculptress, visual artist, creative direction and product designer.
PhD student in Architecture, Dynamics and Urban Forms at Faculty of Architecture, University of Porto (FAUP), with a research grant funded by FCT since 2022 - research where she question the role of artists in the urban production, exploring the relation between Art and Architecture in urban design development.
Degree in Fine-Arts Sculpture (Pre-Bologna-2002/07) at Facultat Belles Arts, Universitat Barcelona and Faculdade de Belas-Artes Universidade do Porto (FBAUB and FBAUP) - distinguished in 2007 as a Merit Student at FBAUP. Master in Sculpture, with distinction (2009-FBAUP). Postgraduate Studies in Furniture Design (2014-IPP). Among several exhibitions, competitions and artistic residencies, was distinguished with several prizes and marks of honor, such as 1st Prize Winner at International Art Competition of Bienal de Cerveira in 2011.
Since 2007, develops a professional practice as artist and desginer with atelier based in Porto, creating a body of work that conceptually reflects on our systemic interdependence, materializing it in modular constructions that tends to dialogue with the architecture, context or environment.
