THE LINE IS THE MOTTO, THE STARTING POINT
Work around logic constructions, allowed me to consider and reflect about specific space conditions and potentials, with the intent to build three-dimensional bodies.
Take, read and think the space in order to create a body that lives and somehow belong to each space, but can too survive in other circumstances. In this process, the material is like a plastic line, used as a basic composition component that is able to create organic forms - like a tridimensional drawing that it's adapting continuously to different places.
Recently, I became interested in other types of materials, especially those that don't have a very long life, in order to stimulate its own degradation. Lately I've developed some works that reflect, exactly, about the effect of passing time. Thus, allow me to experience these effects in my sculptures, these structures and the spaces they inhabit. I have been exploring such issues to build a body that are no longer static, closed or permanent.
